The oblong central bar is bright with marble statues at either end.

Surrounding the bar are high tables and stools and regular table seating.

Over the bar are cornices and the walls are covered with tiles and mirrors.

During the summer months tables and chairs are arranged outside for enjoying a drink whilst people watching.

The clientele is a mixture of regulars, shoppers, office workers and tourists alike.

food   staff

Staff havent a clue how to serve punters properly , along with 2 other punters stood being ignored at the bar while people who came in later got served 1st.

Been drinking in tiles for a few years now, just want to say love the bar and love the staff...ps.get the big screen fixed, want to watch the foot bal on saunday Just had lunch at Tiles and thought I should add my ten penneth, although the rest of the food was "ok" (caesar salad and rollmop herring salad), I ordered the warm duck salad which firstly wasn't warm and was overpriced at 6-95, the "salad" was big chunks of badly sliced iceberg lettuce with a couple of pieces of tomato, mango and fairly insipid duck.

The menu offered full Scottish breakfast, vegetarian Scottish breakfast, bacon roll or sausage roll.

At least four of us ordered full Scottish breakfasts, a few bacon rolls and two people asked for egg rolls and one person asked for a sausage roll with a potato scone.

the waitress didn't think the egg rolls or the sausage and potato scone roll would be possible and on checking with the chef confirmed this.
